It really happened

In 1866, Liechtenstein sent its 80-man army to participate in the Austro-Prussian War. They saw no fighting, spent their time relaxing, and returned with 81 men. This is the story of how an uneventful deployment led to an army gaining a new member, an Italian man who simply decided to join them on their way home. Two years later, the country disbanded its military altogether.
