The 1968 Oak School experiment revealed that authority figures can subconsciously alter the trajectory of a person's life simply by what they expect of them. Researchers proved that when teachers believed certain students were "intellectual bloomers," those students showed significant IQ gains. This phenomenon, known as the Pygmalion Effect, suggests that the potential of others is often limited only by our own assumptions.
